Umbrella Tree
Botanical Name: Schefflera arboricola

Bright, indirect light. No direct sun!
Water Requirement:
Water when the top couple inches of potting mix dries out. The umbrella tree has tolerance for dry soil.
Fertilizer:
Add fertilizer a couple times a year with an all-purpose liquid houseplant food during the growing season. Skip fertilizer in the fall + winter.
Growth Habit:
Can grow up to 10 feet indoors!
Noteworthy Characteristics:
Tolerant and easy to grow, they can add texture and height to any room! Their highly adaptive survival traits allow the umbrella tree to thrive in the many environments of our homes, apartments and offices.
Pro Tips:
Your umbrella plant can survive in lower light locations! Just be prepared for slower growth and possibly a leggy appearance if it doesn’t get enough light.
Schefflera with creamy variegated leaves need more light than those with solid green.
These plants like fast-draining soil, so try adding perlite or pumice.
